So I’m about 10 pounds from my target weight loss. Currently a loose 34, waiting to get to 33 and getting a bunch of new pants and shorts. I want something that won’t me look like an old geezer with my knees covered but a little bit of style. I’m 42 and want to pretend I’m 32. Kjus and Peter millar seem a tad traditional. I feel like a 9 inch inseam is a tad long (I’m 5’11 and a half), but that 7 may be too short. It also needs to work in REALLY hot weather. Help me!

none I’m a Millar guy. I don’t consider them traditional and the 9” inseam is perfect for me. I do hate they have buttons on the bag pockets. Would much prefer besom
pockets. If you’re looking for slim fit check out Greyson or GFore.

Lulu lemon makes some great shorts. I’m 5’10 190lbs (and it’s not muscle) with a Michelin tire around my waist and the 35 fits a tad snug and I feel like they’re a tad short for me but I still like them. Great in the heat.
Ive had some good luck with Puma shorts as well (just solids as I’m pretty boring and traditional)

I’m a big fan of the Nike 9” shorts and the Under Armour iso-cool (also 9” I believe)

I’m 5’10” and the 9” inseam works perfect for me

        Shorts for golf???? I haven't wore a pair in 3 years haha🤦

Linksoul have been my go to but really happy with the VRST, essentially Dicks Sporting Goods copy cat of Lululemon and they are money. You wouldn’t know the difference between them.

Another LinkSoul fan. Just ordered another pair of shorts and pants after receiving my first ones.

Thanks guys! I’m going to the superstore I guess to try these on.

vinyard vines 7 inch breaker shorts great for golf. PGA tour makes some and chubbies has them

Please tell me we aren't headed back here on the golf course:
I'll be sticking with my 10 1/2" inseam Adidas golf shorts or simply wearing golf pants if inseams continue to get shorter. Trust me, at over 60, no one wants to see anything less on me.....particularly when riding in a cart!

DougE i'm the opposite when it comes to shorts. I'm tall so longer inseam shorts are no bueno. looks sloppy and makes me look even more stretched out. this summer I've actually been wearing my swim trunks as my normal every day shorts.... 5" inseam but for my proportions and height it works well. for the golf course i like 7-8"

                short pants though... nope.

the J crew tech shorts are amazing, and can always find them half off. VV breakers are also great. Both give ample quad exposure lol

Having been accused of having chicken legs in the past, this move to shorter shorts has dredged up some past trauma.

Now that I'm more secure in my shell, I've been experimenting with the inseams and showing a little knee. My Linksoul shorts are still a bit long but I'm going to try out these J Crew tech shorts in 8" and see how that goes.

                  #bodypositive

Edit: @maxbianchi can rock any shorts he wants with the trunks on him.

Puma for me since I'm built like a woman but Linksoul are also great!

                    11 days later

maxbianchi max is right. I have bonobos shirts but I actually far prefer my jcrew tech shorts. They’re my daily wears
