I’ve got the bug a bit after letting go of my Triple Titleist 009, and I’m thinking it’s time to get the ball rolling on a project I’ve wanted to get started on for a while.
I’ve been wanting to get a custom solid copper wand made for a few years now, but have never taken the leap. I’m hoping you guys have some insight on the custom order process/prices, as well as patina progress of copper in general and maybe some pics of cool examples like @DaHOF ‘s😍
I think I have it narrowed down to either Byron Morgan or Olson. I’m wanting to do an 009/Newport/DH89, etc head shape with possibly a welded plumbers neck. Sometimes Byrons look a bit “off the mill” for my taste, so I’m leaning towards Olson but have heard there’s some issues with his communication. Both make great stuff so I’m not sure there’s a “wrong” decision that can be made. Just wonder what the turnaround time is like for both at the moment as well.
The Olson’s are pretty much the “perfect”
color I’m going for. Is it just my eye or do Byrons seem to have a pinkish tint to them? My end goal is to get an awesome patina going with minimal stamping as of now.
