Driver Decision

Currently have a dilemma with my game, I am currently hanging around a 2-3 handicap but Id probably be more like a 5-6 if not for my ability to scramble & get out of jail that I put myself in with Driver(Miss is a low pull/pull hook) Overall very ugly with the driver.
As of 3 weeks ago I completely ditched driver from the bag and roll with the 11.5 Tmag Original one (3 wood shaft instead of regular length) I hit the mini driver great but know im not tapping into my full potential hitting the Mini instead of the Driver.
My current driver is a SIM and have rotated through a plethora of shafts still have yet to get comfortable. I got fit for a Callaway EPIC MAX LS with a Motore F1 and it felt good definitely pulled my ball flight back closer to a straight ball but the size looked horrible. Still went with it but a day later was advised by a friend to go Triple Diamond LS. So I had my club change it & now it is a 6-8 week wait. With Member-Guest & a massive Ryder Cup Style event coming up in 2 of the next 4 weeks, I want to lock up something I can trust. Do I bag the $800 driver & get an auto flex shaft for my Mini or Driver ? Order a shaft & the head a la carte on ebay or another online retailer ?

2-3 HDC, all you really need to do is get it in the FW off the tee and you should be able to hit the green. For me, it’s too late in the game to switch it up equipment wise. Especially with big events coming up. Rock the Mini 🤙

I’ll say right now, if I could hit it 250-270 (no idea how far your Mini goes) in the FW every time, I’d take it and never look back.

All that said, I do love to tinker 👀😂😂😂😂😂😂

a_zehel21 I agree with John. Until after the tournaments, I would look at maybe optimizing the Original One's spin/launch numbers, maybe try a driver length shaft in it, but don't get rid of what works as a fairway finder. Especially in match play, fairways in tournament rounds go a loooooonnnggggg way, both for your confidence and to tamp down the opponent's confidence.

a_zehel21 I would never try a new club untested in a tournament unless your current one is so bad that it can’t be any worse.

I am starting to see a lot of these driver issue threads and I wonder if some of you are just not putting enough spin on the driver. When you are swinging great a low spin driver is the best but when your swing starts to go then the low spin is impossible to control

I need to check out the spin and the angle, I will be rocking with the Original One for the time being. About to order the new Tmag mini & cant wait to see that thing in person lol.

Well it has been a roller coaster 14 days for me as it included a lot of golf contemplating the top of my bag during each round I played. Not to mention an out of the way trip to Demo the 300 Mini last Thursday. After every round I played at the club I ordered my EPIC TD LS, I went into the shop and asked of its whereabouts knowing I was probably screwed till September and got the same answer from the assistant pro ... no clue. So fast forward to yesterday, I stop up at the club in the morning and the Pro tells me its waiting in the shop for me and had been for a few days.
I gamed it yesterday afternoon & this evening. Call it the honeymoon phase if you want to but I think this club is a rockstar and have never felt better stepping up to the tee with a Driver.
