Do you have a club that you just try to make work?

I feel like I still love the look of blade putters and I have tried to go back to my 009 but the mallet is so much more easier to align. I always struggle with looks over function.

I also cannot name how many drivers I have had that have looked good and I have tried to make it work.

Now blades are calling my name even though I know I should not be playing them.

I always get caught up with how stuff looks.

The putter is the same for me. I've always been a blade guy.. hated looking at a mallet, but I putt so good with it. Time to bench the blade and go back to a spider.

I always try to put a 3 wood in the bag, however I struggle to launch a 3 wood high enough. My 19 degree hybrid turned down to 17.5 goes just as far and is so much more consistent. I only have 13 clubs in the bag so I am always tempted to put a 3 wood in the bag

3 wood for me. It is a club I can stripe off the tee or duff a screamer 200yds. Off the deck? Yeah right, I’ll pull out my UDI and hope to run it up instead. I’ve tried 16.5 but same inconsistent results.

I have a Titleist TS3 @ 13.5 degrees with a stock HZRDUS Smoke shaft that I would describe as mercurial.

It can go high but prefers to deliver a low, cruise missile-style shot that carries 240 yards and rolls out another 10.

It was my go-to club into the wind at Cabot and I have reached so many par fives with it, yet there are some days where I have just cold topped the ball in the most hackerish way.

It's happened enough times now that I just laugh when it happens. It's almost like the club is disinterested if the degree of difficulty of the shot is low.

The good shots are plentiful enough to keep it in the bag but I can't help but feel the club has it out for me some days.

One thing I did realize about it is I cannot swing easy with it. Something about the shaft requires a full effort or else it just doesn't work right.

Putter is the same for me. I don't really like mallets, but I can already feel the Spider Mini crawling its way back into my bag.

The club I'm always on the fence about is the 4iron.

Two years ago, I played an Apex hybrid at 23 degrees and all season I relished having shots from 200-215 into a hole because that club was just automatic. Ego and having a cool bag made me put the 4iron back in the bag, and while its fine on par3s, and fine for approach shots, it's a bit of a liability out of the rough, because you add a flyer lie to the equation, and I'm hitting shots that don't hold firm greens. I know bringing the 23 degree apex hybrid is the right answer, but I do enjoy hitting shots with the 4i.

Eddie I'm the same. Always wanted to look cool so I had a 4 iron and a 2 iron. Experminted with both being driving irons but I'm just too erratic with both.

I've gone to the 4 hybrid and a sexwood and am not looking back. My bag looks like a mix of a tour pro (blades) and an LPGA player (with all my headcovers)...but I could care less if I'm shooting under par! lol

ForeLeft do it. I love crazy bags. I love Webb's bag as an example. Blades to the 5 iron than straight to a steel shafted 4 hybrid. Baller style.
