How often should this be done for forged irons? I play quite a bit all year plus hit lots of balls on the range. I’m still in the 718 AP2. All of my ferrules have come disconnected which is what made me think it might be a good idea to have everything checked out.

I'd say once a year if you hit off mats a lot.

Firm Bermuda is the same as mats to me also.

Once a year no matter what you're doing (unless you play only 2-3 times a year). It doesn't take all that long and it's worth the effort to make sure your specs are good.
