I have really liked the SIM and when my swing is on, its the best driver I've ever played. When I'm off, things can get wild quickly. I honestly did not expect such a clear winner for either driver or fairway. The TSi3 woods were winners for me and it wasn't particularly close. TM came in second in both driver and fairway wood. Both TSi3 heads were leaders in ball speed and dispersion while also having a flatter flight. The SIM2 3 wood was a closer race than the driver, but the TSi3 was still the clear winner.
On order:
TSi3 10* w/ Tensei White 2.0 65TX, 45.5", D4, Surefit C1, Weight T2
TSi3 16.5* w/ Tensei White 2.0 85TX, 43.25", D4, Surefit C1, Weight T2
A big surprise was the hybrid. I have always played driving/utility irons, but this was just too easy to pass up.
On order:
SIM2 Rescue 3 w/ KBS Proto Hybrid X, 40.25", D4, Set to lower
I was actually fit into the Ventus Black for driver and fairway, but the lead time on them was crazy, so I ordered both with the White 2.0. We'll see how it goes. I have an uncut Ventus Black 6x on the way to build up as well as one with a TM tip to plug into the SIM for a real head to head vs. my gamer.
These will also be the longest length woods I have ever gamed, so we'll see how that goes as the season progresses.
Irons are staying as is for now, but there was a noticeable difference with shaft change to the KBS $-Taper X. Dispersion was noticeably tighter. I could benefit from a touch more spin as well, so the JPX 921 Tour KBS $-Taper combo gave me a bit of spin and was definitely more forgiving on toe strikes with it's longer blade length. I haven't decided if it'll be a reshaft or ordering a new set...
