To me the best walking bag is the Sun Mountain 2.5. It is one of the lightest bags in the market and it has enough pockets for the things that you really need.

Before I broke both ankles this winter, story for another thread and time, I was using a Jones original to walk and loved it. Was really not the minimalistic design and features as I don’t carry too much stuff when I’m out. Was worried about no stand, and can definitely see how that would bother people, but I was used to it after a few holes. Will be using my stitch sl1 to start this year when we are finally allowed back out to enjoy our game!!

@HungoverGoose13 Did your strap break in at all? When I had the SL1, the strap was so stiff I gave up on it.

Agree on the 2.5+. Aesthetically could be much better, but in terms of weight, comfort and storage, I haven't found a bag that beats it. I'm extremely intrigued by the Titleist linkmaster caddy bag, but worry the lack of pockets will suck.

Gleasonb the Sun Mountain just doesn’t have the looks but it is very useful. The Linksmaster is a great looking bag but the weight is almost double that of the Sun Mountain

Currently have a ballistic Nylon Mackenzie...but have a couple EP bags (yes they are now making bags besides just headcovers) in the works. Going to be awesome. Will post pics when it arrives. The balance of this Mac is terrific and has surprisingly good storage capacity.

I have a players 4 carbon on the way, excited to use it for walking days. My G Fore Daytona bag is absolute shit for walking, heavier than it looks, but at least the single strap is comfortable.

I am a huge fan of my Mackenzie for a single strap walking bag (by far the most comfortable strap I've tried). As for a "full" stand bag, I've been liking my TBC Hoofer bag. Also, my Players 4 Staydry was money while up in Bandon, but I don't use it otherwise. Intrigued by the Sun Mountain 2.5 though after reading some of the replies in here.

DaHOF typical Jeremiah logic to have another reason to buy a new bag. 😂😂😂

I carry the ogio shadow fuse. Pretty light I’m thinking of going single strap though. Does anyone know how much the makenzie waxed canvas bag weighs?

I took advantage of the Jones 50k follower 50% sale they had a few weeks ago and ordered the Varsity stand bag (only rocking the single strap) and it has been ideal. I used a Jones Sunday bag prior to ordering this one and eventually got annoyed with having to pick it up and set it down after each shot. The varsity stand bag is a great weight and mobility with still having that vintage 3 divider vintage Jones look with the twisted handles.

I am a ping bag guy but the new Mizuno K1-LO has been a great bag for me and I think It is lighter than the Sun Mountain 2.5

2020 Ping Craz e Lite is a touch heavier than the SM 2.5 but carries better for whatever reason and is my go to stand bag now. Mac for single strap, like the waxed over the ballistic nylon.

3 Macs and trying to justify why I don’t need a transfusion purple theme to match my new flat stick. I just toss my nylon ones on the ground with dew or some pop-up showers and bring inside to dry, never an issue.

The best walking bag is the one that fits on my push cart. Between my surgically-repaired neck and now balky shoulders, I'll never carry my bag farther than the parking lot.

Sometimes you get the best finds at Goodwill 😄 Haven't taken it out yet but there is a little pitch and putt 9 holer down here I'll probably hit up soon to give this a carry. Shout out the the dudes at Jones for getting me a strap for it since it was missing one when I scored it.

I’ve had the SunMountian 2.5 and hated it. It was super fragile and ripped very easily and I’m not hard on my bags. Maybe it was a bad bag? I’ve had this Hoofer for about a year and love it. Bag weight isn’t much of a worry because I usually pack in 3-4 waters. I just embrace the suck. I walk now, started last year in March and love it. Needed to get healthier and stretch the legs. Now I feel weird if I ride in a cart.

🤔 I currently have a Sun Mountain 2.5+ and kinda hate it, not sure why. Maybe it's the color I chose (black and yellow for my ol' Pittsburgh days), and the shape?

Does anyone know if the Linksoul bags are any good? They do look kinda heavy from a quick glance at the spec sheet.

I took out the Jones bag yesterday for 18 holes. I think the days of single strapping for me are done. I felt really tired and sore going up 18. I missed the double strap for sure. It also might be because it was my 3rd round in 3 days.

dphatt I find I'm okay up to about 9 clubs. If I load more than that in my Mackenzie I find myself rotating between shoulders etc because it gets uncomfortable. Love the simplicity but not always practical if I need to carry a full set (which I usually don't).

Jaybananapantsarthur The problem I have with that is I never play nine holes and I’m always playing a full bag. Maybe I need to start playing more casual rounds.
