Okay, so after being a firm anti-PXG guy for a while, the more I read up on their Gen2 hybrid and the 0811XF Gen 2 driver, the more I’m becoming a fan. Does anyone have experience with their Gen2 clubs? Am I crazy?

geaux I liked the irons and hated the driver. It went no where even on good hits. I brought it out to test again against my SIM 3 wood and I was getting about the same numbers.

    geaux nope. After that experiment with the PXG driver it left a bad taste in my mouth. Haven’t tried a PXG driver since. The irons on the other hand keep getting better

      Tried the gen2 0311 driver and proto driver heads when I went in for my iron fitting - pretty generic stuff and ended up not going the distance for me. The gen2 0317x hybrid and gen2 0341FW on the other hand are pretty consistent and mis-hits are still pretty much on line for me.

      I've since sold my 0211 irons as I didn't feel comfortable with the fliers I was producing, but the FW and hybrid are still in my bag haha

      dphatt I saw the P760 this weekend and fell in love so I’m thinking I’m gonna go 5-PW with those and then pick up at least the Gen2 22* hybrid.

        itssookay awesome, I think with their pricing right now I’m going to pick up the 22* hybrid and 18* wood. It’s a “why not?” Type of purchase haha.

        Why do I always want to buy clubs when I’m hurt and can’t play?

          I hate pxg but I have to admit their gen 2 hybrid has been in the bag for a year with zero plans to change. The ability to go stupid flat is an option I love having.

          I have mine set one click more loft/closed but also on the flatter side and it is extremely neutral in terms of shape.

          Welp, just made the purchase. Never would have imagined ever owning anything PXG but hopefully these work out for me.

          Now I just need to find a driver and some P760s..

            The hybrid and fairway are solid! Driver in my opinion isn’t on par with other offerings. Irons are equal to other irons in my opinion.

              Gen2 hybrids chiming in. Like many, I was very anti-PXG. I was actually supposed to get the G410 hybrids, but at the time of my purchase (Sep 2020), all of the Pings were on backorder. I did some digging into the hybrids and found that I really liked the look of it at address. I made the plunge.

              Months later, I added on a second hybrid to swap in and out of my bag with my 4 iron. Honestly, great feel and looks. It pains me that it's PXG, but I paid 195 per from Discount Dan only (no tax and free shipping!). The 30 dollar shipping charge from PXG directly is such a buzzkill.

              I've hit the 0211 irons (first iteration). Zero complaints from this guy. Nothing mindblowing, but nothing bad.

              Yea it was too hard to pass up with their current discount. I’m excited; every review I’ve read of the hybrid seems to be awesome.

              I am curious why so many are anti PXG? Is it because of Bob? Is it the price point?

              dphatt probably the stigma attached to the brand. It’s like owning a Rolex. Everyone knows the brand, some enthusiasts love them, others think they’re overpriced and the competitors offer equivalent products.
