No intentions of a two driver set up for me but I guess it depends on your length.
I don’t play a 3 wood because I don’t need a tight gap at the top of the bag. Whether I hit a driver 300 or a 3 wood 280, it really doesn’t make a difference to me. I can get in trouble with a 3 wood just as easily as my driver.
My 2 UDI was my back up tee club knowing I can get it out 250 and in play. I’m comfortable hitting approach shots from 180y. That effectively puts me in a comfortable spot up to 430y par 4s.
I recently moved to a SIM 5 wood for a bit more forgiveness and dropped the UDI as the 5 wood now gives me a confident par 5 club whereas the UDI was a bullet off of the turf for me.
I would take a look at your game and see if you really need to add that type of club to your bag.
