Ended my coronavirus golf quarantine after 2.5 months at Palatka Golf Club, a Donald Ross design that is in major need of some TLC and rain but it's a fun value of a track nonetheless.
It was nice to get out with the push cart, something that I don't normally do in Florida because of the heat and hostility (most courses here are not built with walkers in mind).
As for the round report, I don't really consider this one a regulation round because of the shabby conditions (not trying to be snobby, it just is what it is).
Overall, I was happy with how I struck the ball with my irons, especially towards the end of the round where I was consistently flying it right at the target. A move I've been working on in my backyard net setup transferred over nicely and on two holes I ended up going over the backs of greens from shots struck too well 😆 .
The driver was a little off as was the short game, but that's to be expected with a long layoff.
